Holiday "Spirit"

Reading and discussing A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens has prompted the 5th-6th grade SAGErs to consider how often they take the time to extend kindness and generosity to another. For many, even in these modern times, there are circumstances and situations where less fortunate people would benefit from some form of additional support. As part of our literature study, we have taken on a challenge to find someone, an individual or family, that we can help in some way. During our discussions and reflections, we feel very lucky to be surrounded by the opportunities that we have- good friends, family and a chance for a good education at a great school like Bellair. I've asked the students to post some examples of their ideas to "Pay It Forward," this holiday season.
